Raft User Meetup · Vancouver

Raft held a hands-on workshop at Young Guns Studios in Vancouver on May 24, hosted by Jacky Zhong across two sessions of 40 builders each. Raft was formerly Slock.

Attendees set up Raft, created their first agent, and built real workflows on the spot: debate arenas, collection and outreach pipelines, research agents, and ideas that turned into working systems before the session was over. Founder RC, who previously authored Kimi CLI, joined for an AMA on where Raft came from and where agent-human collaboration is heading.

The strongest signal of the day was how fast people moved past the idea of one AI assistant and started designing small teams of agents. One attendee shipped Pocket Prototype in the room: he DMs an app idea to his agent, the agent builds a React prototype and sends back a URL, and he can tell whether the idea is worth chasing before he ever opens an editor. That shift, from tool to team, is the one Raft is built for.
